Post 2015, how to answer problem of sexual violence against women and children?

Unlike in Asia Pasic region, sexual violence against women and children was remarkable in the CSO conference in Monrovia, Liberia on 28th-29th January 2013. The conference was aimed to consolidate issues in Africa, Asia Pacific  and Latin America to be submitted to High Panel Level members having meeting on the third day of the conference. Picking up the theme of the conference " National Building Blocks for National sustained Prosperity and People centered Economic Transformation" , there are two important targets that we would like to see, sustained prosperity and economic transformation. How do this translate into action? Especially in resolving problem of violence against women and sexual violence against women (VAW), what would be an ideal concept of economic transformation that could address problem of VAW and sexual violence against children and women.

Prof. Gita Sen, from India highlighted strongly in her presentation as key note speaker to really pay attention on framework of violence against women and children as part of important issue to be incorporated into development. Report released by the World Health Organization (WHO) remarks that 56 per cent of women in Tanzania and 71 percent of women in Ethiopia's rural areas got beatings or other forms of violence by husbands and other intimate partners. According to UN WOmen's report, one-third of women in the United States murdered each year are killed by intimate partners, a woman is killed every 6 hours in South Africa, 22 women were killed each day in dowry-related murders in 2007 in India and two women are murdered everyday in Guatemala.

When many women are murdered, how that possible the development achieve success? Women, men, youth and children are subject of development, to make them present in the development, it is important to enable environment which is friendly for everyone and ensure their voice, feeling, thoughts presenting in the decision making process. ***
